New feedback from Cash for Kids beneficiaries highlights the importance of our grants, with hundreds sharing how vital the support has been.

We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from beneficiaries supported through our grant programmes, highlighting the important role our funding plays in helping children, young people and families across the UK.

We asked people who received a Cash for Kids Impact Grant to tell us how the funding helped them. The survey received 905 responses from January to December 2025, with almost all respondents highlighting the positive difference our grants made.

The results

Impact Grants support disadvantaged children and young people aged up to 18 across six core funding areas: poverty, disability and life-limiting illness, mental health and wellbeing, education and essential skills, sports and physical wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion.

Those supported through our Mission Christmas appeal also shared their experiences, with 1,516 responses received between January 2025 and May 2026.

This feedback showed:

  • 99% said the support was vital.
  • 99% said the application process was straightforward.
  • 92% said Cash for Kids was the only available option.

These findings demonstrate the ongoing need for our work in local communities and the importance of ensuring children receive support during times of hardship. They also reinforce the value of providing accessible funding quickly, helping families when they need it most.

Nikki Thompson, National Grants Director for Cash for Kids, said:

“These results demonstrate the importance of accessible funding and the difference timely support can make. For many families, Cash for Kids was the only place they could turn for help, meaning we were able to reach people when they had nowhere else to turn.”

“Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we can provide essential help when it is needed most, creating positive outcomes for children and young people across the UK.”
